Interesting enough, Vatican City is a country on it’s own and is located within the city of Rome. Tourists around the world (including myself), gather at this holy city to experience the impressive history it has to offer. It is also famously known for it’s amazing architecture, extravagant decor and world-famous frescoes by Michelangelo and Raphael. During my time of visit, I was fortunate enough to enter the Sistine Chapel (note: pls check beforehand as they do close on selected dates).
My outfit of the day includes a long-sleeve shirt and a midi slit-skirt from Lavish Alice. Of course, comfort was a priority as there were a lot of walking involved.
For those of you who plan to travel with more than 2 pax, I highly recommend Airbnb. I stayed at an apartment hosted by Barbara (link here) located literally a few steps away from the famous Spanish Steps.
It took us around 30 mins by taxi to get from Piazza di Spagna to the Vatican City. If you would like to avoid the massive lines, you can always opt for a private tour group. Same goes for any other popular tourist spots around Italy. You can always find tour guides just outside of the attractions offering such service. Although it might be a little pricier, you get to enjoy a whole lot of other perks and gain a much more pleasant experience.
Anyway, I’m no expert, but those are just a few tips I thought I’d share with you guys!
